Finally commissioned!!!

So....after working hard for nearly 4 years to finish my degree I was finally able to pursue my dream of becoming an officer. I started the package or application back in April and it has been hurry up and wait ever since. I had to fill out an ridiculous amount of paperwork, get poked and prodded on multiple medical appointments, and wait in nervousness for 3 months.

The day before Thanksgiving I got a call from my recruiter! He told me I have been selected as a Navigator. That was my number one choice and I am so happy I got it. Leah's Dad and Grandpa were both pilots and they inspired me to want to fly. I still don't know anything about where I will be going next but I have a long list of things I have to do before I will know. The next few years are going to be crazy. BTW....I only posted the plane for fun....that is not necessarily the plane that I will be assigned to. It could be a number of different things. Anyway...the selection means I will be going from enlisted to officer and that means a big pay raise. Me and my family are very excited!
